I have a question for the POE Practice Problems Packet. On #24, the question reads, "What is the length of the slope?". This refers to the previous problem concerning a wedge with a 2000 pound output force, a (1/4)" cutting blade, and a 45 degree slope. Can you walk me through how to find the length of the slope given this information?

you have to use the cosine 45 of 1/4 so it would be (.25)cos45' and that will give you the answer for the slope.
